We have wood floors through the upstairs part of our house. So Kris was getting the kids into the car so we could go to Rexburg. So I was quickly walking down the hall when my sock snagged a piece of the freaken floor and I walked right into it! It happened SO fast I didn't even have time to react. I went BALLISTIC!! I started screaming for Kris and I don't know if I have cried wolf to many times or what because he came in like "what?" jeez what ever it is can't be that bad. So I'm laying in the hall and he looks at my foot but I had a sock on so he had to rip it off so he could see the "issue" ha ha and when he saw it he said " Oh ya, um, that's not good, um..." So that made me freak out even more ( that's Kris's way of calmly freaking out) he could see how far it was in. I felt how far it went but that little bump half way down my foot is the end of the stupid thing! so I limped out to the car across the gross dirty floor ( which is why my foot looks like an 85 year old's foot!) So we made it to Community Care. They take me back and gather a crowd to come see the "foreign body removal" case! ha ha They wheel me back into a little room where they can inject the whole area with numbing stuff. So if it wasn't bad enough that there was a log in my foot, now there's needles too. I couldn't figure out what was worse the stick or the needles! The Doctor came in and numbed the part the P.A. couldn't get numb, which meant a bigger needle (yay)! He injected then in the same movement grabbed the tweezers and pulled! I couldn't feel anything but a jerk thank heaven. They bandaged me up and sent me home, where I have been having Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome ever since! After all that I still love my floors! ha ha

Oh my gosh!!! Horrible! You are a trooper:)
Ewe!! That is sad for you!! Do you need me to buy you some of those grammy house shoes so you can walk across your floor without harm? Cuz I will! :)
I am cringing just reading about it. At least you were together enough to take a picture and let us all experience the misery! :)
OUCH!!!! That looks very painful!!!! Thank heavens for numbing medication!
I'm pretty sure I would have passed out. In fact I KNOW I would have. On another note it looks like you guys had a fun Easter! You're kids are freakin ADORABLE!

That is a super long piece of hardwood. OUCH OUCH OUCH! I'd be traumatized too, but it made for a cool story!
I have heard this story before and I still get sick about it! Man...your tough! I cant imagine how bad that would hurt.
Um, I think that I am going to vomit! I didn't know that the sliver was a beam!
AHHH! Good to know. I will have to keep an eye on my floors. I got a nail stuck in my foot once, I feel your pain.
Forever after reading this story will I be in fear of walking on wood floors. Remind me to keep my shoes on when and if I ever get to see your "GORGEOUS" (so I hear) house! :)
